Blue Mosque
The mosque is located at 12th Mashtots Avenue, in a densely developed area. According to the inscription on the southern gate, it was commissioned by Huseyn Ali Khan, the Persian Khan of Erivan, and constructed between 1765 and 1766. It was the largest and most significant mosque in Yerevan, designed in the architectural style characteristic of Shia mosques.
THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE VICTIMS MEMORIAL COMPLEX IN TSITSERNAKABERD 1967
The complex is located on Tsitsernakaberd hill in the park area. It was built from 1965 to 1967. The memorial is dedicated to the memory of 1.5 million Armenians who fell victim to the genocide carried out by the Young Turk government in Western Armenia and other Armenian-populated areas of Turkey in 1915.
